Ubisoft has announced today that For Honor Season Three will launch at the same time on August 15th across all platforms. Entitled “Grudge & Glory,” this presents the largest update so far in For Honor, bringing new heroes, maps, gear, ranked play and more to the game. The maps and gameplay updates will be available for free at the start of the season, whilst the new heroes, the proud Highlander and the Gladiator will be available for free for those who have the Season Pass on August 15th. Other players will then be able to unlock them on August 22nd using in-game currency, costing 15,000 Steel. Season Three’s launch is the start of the busy development schedule for the game, which will be followed up by a new season in November.
The new heroes include the Highlander and Gladiator, as the war rages on between Vikings, Knights and Samurai. The Viking Hybrid Highlander are capable of switching between two fighting forms, with defensive allowing players to counter-attack others, whilst the offensive form unleashes deadly attacks. The Highlander’s claymore boasts the longest and heaviest sword in the game, bringing a deadly mix of range and strength.
As for the Gladiator, this Knight Assassin wields both a trident and a shield, Gladiators look to project their life of killing for sport into For Honor, showcasing their skill and ruthlessness in battle. Light armour allows for punching opponents effectively, and will larger stamina meters coupled with reduced cool down times, they prove to be dangerous adversaries indeed.
