What was the one card that instilled dread in players when they played Ranked in Hearthstone? We are thinking of an old card, also sometimes called Doctor 7. Yes, the card in question is Dr. Boom, and it seems like he is getting an entire expansion themed after him and his rather dangerous use of science. We are getting all kinds of crazy stuff in The Boomsday Project, and that’s all we want from Blizzard when it comes to Hearthstone. Crazy cards which allow us to make crazy combos. For example, we will get Legendary Spells, and one of those, a Warlock one, allows you to draw your entire deck for just five mana.
Well, that’s a thing. Why would you want to draw your entire deck at any point in time? Blizzard always had a thing for making really, well, strange cards which do strange things. But you never know what kind of deck could spring from this card. We also got a new Keyword, and certain cards which have bonus effects when you play them at 10 mana. The new Magnetic keyword allows cards to be played on their own or get attached to a Mech minion. The new Projects spell cards are cheap and powerful, but they affect both players. Lastly, the Omega Project cards look fairly standard, but they have a special Battlecry if you play them when you have 10 Mana Crystals.
All in all, The Boomsday Project looks like a really fun Hearthstone expansion, and it is coming with more new single-player content on August 7th!
