Ubisoft is truly going “all in” on their upcoming title Far Cry 5. We say this because the last few months have been detailed with interviews and videos from the team in regards to what they’ve done to make the game special and unique compared to previous titles. For example, this game is set in the United States, a first for the series. It’s set in the wilderness of Montana, which has been recreated faithfully via trips there, and the story is one much different from the other titles, and that’s still just the beginning.
Despite a delay that has pushed the game back to March, Far Cry 5 is still very much anticipated, and gamers are looking for more and more footage on it so they can get better glimpses of what they can do. Well, Youtuber Red Robot King 7 has found and leaked some 30 second promos that show off a little bit more of the game. You can watch them here, here, and here.
Now, technically, this 1:30 of footage doesn’t reveal too much new stuff, but what it does show is interesting. The first promo, “Story”, shows off Father Joseph Seed, who is the head of the cult known as Eden’s Gate. He is the antagonist of the story, and the reason your character is brought into Hope County. We get to see a little bit more of him and how he runs his cult, and this is just a small taste of what you’ll see of him more than likely.
The other two promos do a good job of teasing what you’ll be doing in the game. For example, you’ll be raising “Chaos” in order to disrupt the Cult’s infrastructure. Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to do other activities like hunting, ATVing, fishing, and get mauled by bears…among other things.
Far Cry 5 arrives on March 27th.
