Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 just got a campaign trailer that will show us the Imperial, the Necron, and the Tyranid single-player experiences.
The name of the game in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is explore and exterminate. Especially if you pick the Tyranids, which will be capable of devouring entire worlds. Does it get better than that? No, it does not, even though we prefer the cold and ominous Necrons, which we will probably be picking as our first faction to go through the campaign with. A strange selection of factions to have a grand campaign, but we like it. Of course, you have the Imperium of Man, the Necron Empire, and the Tyranid Hive to choose between.
The Imperial and Necron guys will tell you all about their plans and goals as you make your way through the campaign. But, we will find out about the Tyranid plans as we meet other factions. At least that’s what we understood when we watched the Campaign trailer.
Anyhow, everyone is preparing to face the Chaos threat that is looming over the galaxy. You must be prepared for the arrival of Abaddon, so that’s why you will be conquering planets which will help you increase your fleet size, increase the efficiency of your ships, and so on. There are even times when you will be able to utterly destroy a faction and remove them from the galaxy completely so they don’t bother you and your empire anymore.
Also, there are certain scripted events in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, like Orks hunting space whales. We didn’t get in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada now, did we?
The game is arriving on January 24th, and a second preorder beta is starting on January 15th.
