Monster Hunter World is without a doubt the most successful game of the year so far. For between the Xbox One version, the PS4 version, and the recently released PC version, the game has sold over 10 million units, more than any other game this year so far. This title has truly brought Monster Hunter to the masses instead of just being a cult gaming hit in Japan. And one of the ways this is proven is that there are a ton of mods available for the game!
And now, one of those mods will turn your Palico into a dog. Why? Well…why not? Here’s the official description for the mod:
“Makes your Palico look like a canine. For those who prefer dogs. Now with sounds. I decided to release this in its current state because I’m not sure if I’m going to keep working on it. I’m not particularly a cat or dog fan, but I know some people wanted a dog partner instead of a cat, so I wanted to see if this kind of MOD is possible. I was trying to make it look like a Shiba dog, but I think the neck needs to be a lot fatter, which causes clipping with most armor. So I reverted the neck to a thinner version.”
It’s clear that the team behind this mod was having a lot of fun. And not so ironically, Monster Hunter World has had a lot of mods since its launch in January, so if this is the mod that opens your eyes to what’s out there, good! Go see what else is being made!
In the meantime, for those who haven’t checked out the game, you should. This title brings epic battles, a large seamless world and much more to the table, it’s very much worth the buy.
