Monster Hunter: World Getting Free Update March 22nd
Monster Hunter: World was Capcom’s attempt to bring their Monster Hunter franchise to the west in a way that would be fun and challenging to all. The series is beloved in Japan, but has a different reputation everywhere else. However, due to the efforts of Capcom, the game is not only well-received, but is the best selling game of the year so far, with over 5 million copies sold. Capcom also made the promise that free updates would be coming, and another of them is set to arrive on March 22nd.
During a livestream, Capcom revealed that classic Monster Hunter beast Deviljho would be brought into the game via this update. Not only will the monster be there but also quests involving him, and rewards for beating him. So you can look forward to all of that.
But that’s not all, Capcom also noted that the update would feature smaller loading times, the ability to go back to the Gathering Hall after a multiplayer quest, and as if that wasn’t enough, there’s going to be a balancing of all 14 weapon types.
Oh, and if you were tired of getting hit by players while you were carving? That won’t happen now, you’re welcome.
Now, there’s already a bit of controversy surrounding the update, for Capcom also noted that players would be able to change their characters physical appearance. Which is good. However, you’ll only be able to change it once for free. Meaning, if you want to change your characters look multiple times, it will cost you, literally.
If you want to know what the future holds for Monster Hunter: World, there’s going to be a Spring Blossom Festival April 6th-20th. There’s going to be some new weapons coming in during that time as well. And as if that wasn’t enough, on April 13th, you’ll be able to become Mega Man.
