Given the immense popularity of Minecraft, it isn’t surprising to hear that the majority of players in the game are using the conventional mouse and keyboard combination on PC. This was once a limitation suffered by Xbox One players, but it no longer appears to be the case. The beta version of Minecraft has now been confirmed to have mouse and keyboard support, and will also support cross-platform play.
This will be positive news for many players who feel limited by playing the game with a controller, and would find it far more convenient using a mouse and keyboard. This implementation was confirmed on a podcast recently, where a Minecraft developer confirmed that the beta version would indeed boast these features.
So if using two accessories instead of one is something that appeals to you, then you’re in luck. After all, it comes down to personal preference at the end of the day. Though it has been confirmed that the use of a keyboard and mouse has made its way to the beta version, fans will still have to wait for the release of the full version in order to see if it will be included, or whether it is just a luxury to those playing the beta. It is more than likely that this support will be present in the full version, but it will be worth keeping fingers crossed just in case.
