Middle-Earth has always been a great setting for video games, and many Lord of the Rings titles have come via various developers. But you could argue that the two that fans love the most is Shadow of Mordor and the recent Shadow of War. Aside from being an interesting side-story of the lore of the series, the game features some of the most fun gameplay ever made via the Nemesis System, which only grew with Shadow of War. But now, it’s the game that’s set to be growing even bigger.
For today, Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. Interactive have outlined the content updates the game will be getting. And in a pleasant surprise, there will be five free content updates for the game coming before the year ends. That’s a lot of new content in essentially six weeks.
As if that wasn’t cool enough, three of those free updates are arriving in just a few days. As “Endless Siege”, “Rebellion”, and “Enhanced Photo Mode” are coming on November 21st.
These new modes and story content (and picture mode) will no doubt give you some fun to play with for a while. After all, do you think you could last against an endless siege? You’re about to find out!
But then, on December 5th, you’ll get the chance to prove your superiority against other players in the “Online Fight Pits”. Choose your best Orc, then send them into the pit against other players champion Orc. Do you have the perfect fighter? Do you think they’ll take out all contenders? Again, you’ll find out soon.
Finally, if you’re looking for a new challenge, a truly epic challenge, then you’ll love the December 12th update, where you’ll get the “Brutal” difficulty. It’s tougher than Nemesis, and there are NO last chances. So be ready.
