Microsoft can’t really properly pull off their ideas when it comes to their browsers, as it seems like Edge is getting replaced.
So, what do you think, will Microsoft ever find their own browser that captures the attention of people worldwide? Well, probably not, considering their past attempts weren’t as successful as they could have been. But, it seems they are trying out new things, as their Edge browser is going to be replaced with a Chromium-based browser. Why? Well, what do you think why? The most dominant browser out there is Google Chrome, without a doubt. Chrome also has a lot of issues, especially when it comes to memory consumption, but it’s simple, slick, and very effective at doing its job.
According to PC Gamer, the new Microsoft browser is being developed with the base being Google’s open-source Blink rendering engine. This is the same one that Chrome is built upon, so we can see that Microsoft wants their own version of Chrome.
We don’t know exactly when this new browser is coming, or what it’s going to be called, but we look forward to it. Edge had a lot of great ideas, but they were underdeveloped and the browser was ridden with extra features that no one wanted or needed. People usually stick to what they are familiar with, so if this new browser also brings too much to the table, everyone will just keep using Chrome, as has been the case for quite a few years now.
