Sales are very important to anyone in business, but in video games, it’s a two-fold kind of things. First, the console itself needs to sell well, and then you need games to continue to make the console desirable. Sadly, in the current console generation, the Xbox One and its spinoffs haven’t exactly done the best in terms of sales. Last years numbers were particularly low, and barring something happening at E3 2018, this year doesn’t look all that much brighter
Which is possibly why Microsoft is about to start a 2-week sale of all of their systems. They’re going to be taking $50 off of every Xbox One console, including the X. This was revealed on Xbox Wire where they noted:
$50 off for the first time ever on Xbox One X at Microsoft Store and participating retailers. If you haven’t upgraded to an Xbox One X yet now is the time, with its first-ever discount – $50 off June 7 – June 23. Get deals on Xbox One X enhanced titles like Sea of Thieves, FIFA 18, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and Forza Motorsport 7, and immerse yourself in stunning 4K ultra HD gaming with HDR.
Ironically though, that’s just the start of the deal. For there will be over 300 different games for the consoles that will be on sale as well. Including: Battlefield 1, FIFA 18, NBA 2K18, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Forza Motorsport 7, Destiny 2, Super Lucky’s Tale, Monster Hunter: World, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Sea of Thieves.
If that’s still not enough, during this period, Microsoft will be offering a special deal on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. If you haven’t tried them out yet, you’ll be able to get them for $1 for the first month. So try them out, and see if you want to keep going with them.
The sale starts on June 7th, a few days before E3 2018, and it’ll end on June 23rd.
