Metroid Prime 4 Coming Out This November?
2019 is shaping up to be an interesting year for the Nintendo Switch, for they have a slew of potential big-name titles both in regards to 1st party and 3rd party releases. However, many of their big titles, both 1st and 3rd party, don’t have release dates yet. Big speculation is brewing over where and when the games will release in the year. But one consensus amongst gamers is that they hope that Metroid Prime 4 will release in 2019. And now, a “leak” from a store may point to that happening.
To recap, Metroid Prime 4 was announced at E3 2017 in a very brief teaser trailer by Nintendo where the logo for the game was shown and nothing else. Since then, the game has been teased by Nintendo heads as “coming”, and that development is “well under way” and other such notions. But as for a release date, nothing solid has come as of yet.
However, the Czech store Supergamer has decided to “show off” its ad for the game on their store, and according to them, the game’s release date (when translated) is November 29th, 2019.
Granted, there’s a lot of reasons to be skeptical about such a release date. First off, it wasn’t stated by Nintendo themselves, and the release of it from this store seems very odd. After all, if Nintendo knew the release date, would they really have sent it out so far away from the release? Also, leaks like this are very common, and by “common”, I mean fake. Not to mention, the date of it is rather late, which is fine in context, but, it could also be a placeholder one to give an “estimate” on when it could arrive.
Until Metroid Prime 4 is detailed in full by Nintendo, any release date information should be considered suspect at best.
