Metal Gear Survive has come under a lot of fire for a wide range of reasons, predominantly because of it’s practices of microtransactions. In fact, when coupling the microtransactions with the price of the game, it is costing as much as a $50 game at launch for players. The title has now released, and it has come to the surface that there is now extended microtransactions that go beyond what had previously. Performance boosters were known to players already, but it now seems that it will cost to make a new character without deleting the previous save.
Making a new character in Metal Gear Survive will cost players 1,000 SV coins, or else they’ll have to delete their existing save. SV coins serve as the in-game currency, which has to be purchased using real world money. In order to gain 1,000 SV coins should you want to make a new character, it will cost $10 for the privilege.
.
Though this method isn’t unknown to gamers, it certainly isn’t something that is going to go down well, particularly since there has also been a lot of backlash about the game already, and the last thing it needs is more controversy. Though the new entry in the Metal Gear franchise is available at a budget price, which might show some kind of justification as to why there is a heavy use of microtransactions, it could give certain fans the kind of ammunition to not support this game.
Metal Gear Survive is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
