Konami has announced today the cover star of the upcoming release of PES 2018. FC Barcelona forward Luiz Suarez has been confirmed to adorn the cover of this year’s entry in the football franchise.
Given the ties that Konami have with both FC Barcelona and Liverpool FC, it wasn’t too much of a surprise to see Suarez announced as the cover star. After all, he has served both clubs well in recent years, showcasing his masterclass in finishing for both teams.
Suarez commented: “I’m a big fan of PES, so it’s a real honour for me to be on this year’s cover. Every year this game gets better and better and the work put into making PES 2018 really shows. I can’t believe how real, and lifelike I look in this year’s game. It’s simply amazing.”
As for PES 2018, this year’s version will see more features than ever before seen in a PES game, as Konami look to go head-to-head with EA’s FIFA 18 in the battle for supremacy between the two football gaming franchises. This is a competition that occurs each year, with FIFA often emerging as the victor. However, this year PES 2018 looks set more than ever to give its rival a run for its money.
