LEGO is one of the most iconic and popular toy brands in the world today, and in the history of toys period. So, when someone decided to make a movie based on LEGO, it was curious. What they got though was an unbelievable tale of heroism and friendship, and that made a lot of people happy. So much so that the Lego Movie 2 was announced, and now, we’re going to be getting a game based off of the upcoming movie.
The official synopsis for the video game is as follows:
“The alien monster invaders have left Bricksburg in ruins,” reads the game’s official description. “It is now up to Emmet and a host of heroic characters to go beyond their world and save their friends from the strange inhabitants of the Systar System. Journey into outer space, discover new worlds, and test your Master Building skills.”
The game will once again be made by TT Games (who work on pretty much all of the LEGO video game titles).
Further details of the game confirmed that while regular characters like Emmet and Lucy and Batman will be playable, there will also be new characters from the new movie like Rex Dangervest and General Mayhem who will be a part of the title to as playable characters.
In fact, between the two movie worlds, there will be 100 different characters you can play as. That’s a lot of Lego characters. Also, for fans of the original movie, there will be fun areas from the original movie to go to, all the while going to new places like the Systar System.
Lego has honestly been a good series of video games, and have gone everywhere from Star Wars to the Incredibles, there’s no doubt that this game will live up to that legacy. It’ll be arriving next year.
