Wargaming has announced today the next addition of War Stories, which has now gone live on console versions of World of Tanks. War Stories went live for the first time last month, bringing the debut of two single and co-operative game modes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The latest campaign to be added is Operation Sealion, which will be followed by Kennedy’s War in October.
The Operation Sealion campaign offers an alternative historical experience in which players are delved into the battle between British forces and the invading Germans. This three-part series offers a unique challenge that will thrust tankers straight into the fight, in which the defending player will pilot the Cromwell Resistance tank to survive the onslaught of waves of German vehicles, whilst also recapturing enemy airfields and face of with those who threaten to overtake London.
As for Kennedy’s War, which is set to arrive next month, this is another alternative view on history set around the Cuban Missile Crisis, as the installation of Soviet nuclear missiles near the American border kicks off a conflict between the two nations. This situation must be diffused as players determine the outcome of the Cold War, which isn’t exactly cold any longer.
