The latest update for Fortnite has gone live on PC, Xbox One and PS4. The latest patch introduces a number of new customization options to the game, which can be gained via the in-game shop and can also be found stored in Lockers. Also, players are now able to adjust their banners, plus make changes to the harvest tool, character or glider, and can even choose the way in which they load into the game.
Epic Games has also detailed how they intend to implement progression into Fortnite: “Our first stab at progression will come in the form of daily challenges you can complete to raise your Season account lvel and earn rewards. You will also receive a banner flair to customize your banner at each level up until 49, at which point you can prestige your Season level. You’ll be able to earn two specific rewards simply by completing challenges and leveling up, a banner (Level 10) and a glider (Level 25). You will earn these permanently.”
Also, there has been changes to the availability of Slurp Juice via the latest hotfix, which sees the feature now only being found in Treasure Chests and Supply Drops. This will only be a temporary change according to Epic Games, as the team work on improving Slurp Juice going forward. Slurp Juice is used as a health drink that offers the players one health and one shield per second, lasting 25 seconds in total.
