Lady Gaga Plays Bayonetta, and The Internet Rejoices
Celebrities and video games have a very interesting history. For on one hand, some of these celebrities actually grew up in the early days of video games, and thus have a connection to them. Some of the young stock grew up in the modern age of gaming, and have a different connection. Yet, most times, when we think of A-List celebrities, we don’t think about whether they play video games or not, because we don’t think they have the time. Well, Lady Gaga has the time, and she’s been talking about her time with Bayonetta.
That’s right, Lady Gaga, the award-winning singer and actress posted on Twitter recently to talk about her time controlling the Umbra Witch from Platinum Games.
When you beat Chapter IV of Bayonetta and then realize Chapter V is going to kick your ass, secret #gamergirl THE SHADOW REMAINS TOUGH!!!!!!
While it’s true that the Bayonetta series is stylish, and has one of the most…uh…beautiful protagonists in gaming (who isn’t afraid to show skin thanks to Platinum…), it’s also a very brutal title at times. Swarms of enemies, big boss fights, and more await you. Plus, there are different difficulty levels to prove your skill on. Add to that, you get “ranked” for your performance in each level, so if you’re looking to get the best rankings in every level, you better be ready for a fight.
Upon hearing her #Gamergirl call, the internet went alight with support of her. Including Nintendo (who have the game on Switch and are getting the third title sometime in 2019 potentially) rooting for her, and a bunch of fans showing their support and praise for Gaga unleashing her gamer side.
Ironically enough, Lady Gaga is a true gamer, this isn’t a one-time thing. Her houses actually have gaming rooms, she is a true gamer. And you can bet that she’ll dress up like Bayonetta eventually.
