In anticipation for the release of WWE 2K18, the cover star was revealed to be the Kingslayer Seth Rollins recently. Now, the pre-order bonus character has been unveiled, as Raw General Manager and Hall of Famer Kurt Angle makes his return to a wrestling game.
After an absence for over 10 years, the Olympic gold medalist finally makes his return to a video game in WWE 2K18. Having previously praised cover star Rollins as an “incredible young talent” who puts plenty emphasis on the game’s tagline of ‘Be Like No One’, Angle also confirmed that his character will come in two forms, one based on his early WWE career as the “American Hero,” and also as the “Wrestling Machine” which chronicles his days in the rather short lived resurgence of ECW.
The latest WWE 2K game will hopefully continue the usual traditions set by previous games, in which it should offer up a diverse and expansive roster of both modern day and classic WWE superstars. The latest release, WWE 2K17, offered up over 175 characters including DLC. In terms of characters, only Kurt Angle and Seth Rollins are confirmed, though many others are guaranteed to be revealed as the release date draws nearer.
