The highly anticipated release of Sea of Thieves is fast approaching, and as the days go by we are learning more and more about what to expect from the pirate adventure game. One feature of interest is the elusive and terrifying Kraken, of which a few screenshots have leaked online.
Check out these first few images that have leaked of the mighty beast:
Rare has stated that rather than the Kraken being a boss in the more traditional sense when it comes to video games, it will be a “force of nature” that will pop up from the deep blue at random intervals. It’s a scary yet exciting prospect, to be sailing the high seas wondering if and when it’s going to show up.
As you can see from the images above, the Kraken is massive in size as to be expected, and is said to wield eight tentacles that will attempt to destroy your ship at a moment’s notice. In order to shake said tentacles off of your vessel, you’ll be required to attack them with everything available on board. Cannons, guns, you name it. There is a reward for doing so, but it certainly doesn’t look like one that will be easy to come by.
Sea of Thieves will launch on March 20th on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service from the day of release.
