Today sees the release of Kennedy’s War in World of Tanks, which brings the latest War Stories campaign in the game, which is available to download for players on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and will also be available next month when the Xbox One X launches.
The Kennedy’s War campaign sees players heading to an alternate history of the Cuban Missile Crisis, in which the United States and the Soviet Union are on the brink of war as Soviet forces bring nuclear missiles in Cuba in response to the US invasion.
This will mark the fourth War Story to be added to the game after the release of Brothers in Armor, Flashpoint Berlin and Operation Sealion. These offer console players a diverse single-player and co-operative experience, but also has a gripping narrative to engage players with. The release of Kennedy’s War is accompanied by what the development team at Wargaming Chicago is calling the final incarnation of World of Tanks, which will provide an update to allow players to experience the game in 4K resolution and HDR with the launch of the Xbox One X in November.
There are a few neat statistics for the console versions of World of Tanks too, which now boasts almost 500 tanks, over 50 maps and nine nations.
