It Takes Two, an insanely creative and gripping co-op title, just announced that it reached 1 million copies sold.
It Takes Two, the ingenious and strange co-op game that breaks all the molds and stereotypes that other titles in this genre usually embody. Silly, charming, creative, and insanely fun. But all these elements are leagues above most other titles that attempt to focus solely on the co-op gameplay experience.
There aren’t many games praised by both critics and fans, but It Takes Two is one of those. Precisely why I’m surprised the game only now announced how many copies it sold. For some reason, It Takes Two only sold 1 million copies so far. Not to say that’s not an amazing achievement, but the hype and talk this title brought about when it launched convinced me it was going to be an insane commercial success in a crazy short amount of time.
Well, the game launched on March 26th, so it’s only been out for a month. I look forward to another celebratory tweet from the devs when their legendary co-op experience reaches another commercial milestone. While will probably happen once a Steam sale appears and slaps a huge discount on everything.
