Even after all of that talk that there would be no uncensored version of the game, it seems Agony Unrated is coming.
Agony had a lot of issues when it was released, and it wasn’t exactly the game that we were expecting. A part of this is to blame on the trailers, which showed a “different” version of the game that wasn’t the experience we got in the end. They said certain things had to be censored in order to even release Agony. After that, the devs stated that an uncensored patch would arrive, and then they said there would be no such patch.
Certain legal issues that were stopping the devs from releasing the uncensored version of Agony are no more. That means we’re getting Agony Unrated that’s coming with a few new features. But, most importantly, all those brutal scenes which were cut from the original game are in this version. Agony Unrated is the vision that the developers wanted to show from the very beginning. You can watch the trailer for it to witness what we missed out on.
Agony Unrated is coming on October 31st. It features a new type of threat, improved textures, a new environment, 8 different endings for the Story Mode, the option to play as the Sukkub, and much more. Kickstarter backers get this version for free. Those of you that own the original get a 90% discount on the new version.
