The survival version of H1Z1 called H1Z1: Just Survive isn’t ready to leave us yet, as the game isn’t shutting down in October as previously announced.
Back in the day, there was no H1Z1: Just Survive or H1Z1: Battle Royale. There was only H1Z1, which was the biggest rival to DayZ. That was back in the day when zombie survival games were the craze. Now, those days are gone, and everyone keeps obsessing over battle royale titles. That was probably why the team behind Just Survive announced that the game would shut down in October. But, a new tweet from Jace Hall brings some unexpected news. It seems like Just Survive is going to survive after all. The game won’t be shutting down in October, which is great news.
Jace Hall did talk about some things in his tweet. We get it that he means that the communities of both games are one big community and all that. But, when he said: “@Z1BattleRoyale + @PlayJustSurvive = FUN” did he mean that those two would merge? Probably not, as the survival genre isn’t as popular as the battle royale one. So there is no reason for them to merge the games into one. But, that would definitely be an interesting choice which could yield unexpected results.
We are just glad that H1Z1: Just Survive isn’t going to close down. It’s actually great to see that the developers aren’t ready to give up on a title. This fire they have for the game that isn’t going out may just light the spark that will revive Just Survive.
Maybe its just me… but i see Just Survive be more fun than BR
It is if you’re a fan of survival games more than battle royale games, which is understandable. I, for once, also prefer survival games.
