World of Warcraft seems to be improving with each new expansion that comes out. The latest expansion for the MMORPG giant is called the Battle for Azeroth, which is bringing two new continents with their own zones and dungeons, allied races, an RTS-style game mode which is called Warfronts, revamped classes, and the thing that we will be talking about today, the Island Expeditions.
The people over at Wowhead regularly datamine each time a new World of Warcraft expansion comes out, and now that Battle for Azeroth is on its way, they have some information on the three-player scenarios called Island Expeditions. If you’re by any chance playing the Battle for Azeroth Alpha, then you already know that you can now queue for the Island Expeditions. We know also know that there’s a special currency called the Seafarer’s Dubloon which can be traded in for spectacular items which will help you on your expeditions. The consumables which you get in exchange for the Seafarer’s Dubloon are immensely powerful, and they will come in handy when you engage the dangerous monsters that lurk on these islands, or the other crew that also came to gather some Azerite.
On the dock of each of the faction’s capital, the players can find NPC expedition teams which are always ready to go on an adventure with you. Each Island Adventure will pit your team against a randomly selected team from the opposing faction, which can be made out of players or special NPCs, which Blizzard said possess actual intelligence, not just your ordinary NPC patterns.
