Is SCUM’s Anticheat Good Enough?
SCUM is the latest contender in the battle royale race, and it’s looking like one of the more interesting titles. But, these games always have cheaters in them, so anti-cheat measures have been implemented.
We all know how much trouble games like DayZ and PUBG had with cheating. PUBG is still fighting hackers and cheaters, and it is a battle that can’t be won easily. The people behind SCUM recently also added anti-cheat measures of their own. Are they working? Well, we haven’t run into any hackers since we tried the game, so we can’t tell if there are many of them. Lag was aa much bigger problem to us than cheaters were. Thankfully, the developers are aware of this and are working on a solution.
Anyone that plays the game should be familiar with the sentries, which are tough enemies that you can’t defeat easily. The patch from a couple of days ago nerfed them, and now the new patch has buffed them up. Players can also look forward to some quality food, as the spawn rate for the animals got increased. Now you’ll have an easier time finding something good to eat.
You can now also hear gunshot sounds from farther away, which should help you stay away from situations that you’re not prepared to face. Woodcutter shirts got an extra inventory slot, and the bulletproof vests now have 8 inventory slots. The equipment layer for bags has been changed, so can’t carry more than one bag anymore.
