To be completely honest, I was very skeptical about this title. I couldn’t understand what was so scary about it. Especially since it looked outdated as hell. Then I watched a couple of streams and I almost shat my pants.
The sound design, the way the ghost can mess with your head via voice recognition, the spine-chillingly eerie atmosphere. Phasmophobia has everything it needs to become the next viral sensation, and it’s becoming just. With an all-time peak of 87,146 as shown by SteamDB, I think we can all agree that this Early Access title is going places. While it certainly lacks in the visual department, the sounds alone can make your stomach twist and turn when you get separated from the group. Phasmophobia is the probably the only co-op horror game that can make you shit your pants. Also don’t play alone, it won’t be a very pleasant experience unless you’re a very brave individual.
