Is Iron Galaxy Studios Porting Fortnite To Nintendo Switch
Fortnite has been dominating the news as of late, and it’s not hard to see why. They’ve had a crossover with Avengers: Infinity War, they brought back 50v50 mode, and their Season 04 update is still making players happy. And, of course, that’s not mentioning how well they’re doing with sales and views on Twitch and all that. However, the one thing that people are still waiting for is confirmation, or denial, that the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
This has been teased for quite some time, including Epic Games themselves saying that are “quite interested” in joining the list of developers making titles for the Nintendo Switch. And since their biggest game is Fornite, that’s the logical conclusion of what they could bring to the table. Plus, now that the game is on mobile platforms, they have experience taking a console and PC title, and turning it portable, which is the biggest highlight of the Switch in many people’s eyes.
So, is it coming? Well, it might, as a job listing from Iron Galaxy Studios was posted, and then changed when some key wording was found in it. Basically, as they’re doing a rundown of their titles, they put the phrase “our superb Fortnite and Skyrim Switch ports”. But now, it just talks about the Skyrim Switch ports.
Now, Iron Galaxy studios did work on the iOS version of the game, so it could be interpreted that they were referring to that. But, the modified listing doesn’t mention Fortnite at all, which adds more credence to this rumor.
Epic Games has also promised that they’re going to have a big presence at E3 2018, and showing up at the Nintendo digital event or Treehouse event to show off their game on their system would be a big impact for sure.
