Is Diablo 4 A Pseudo-MMO?
From what we know, it seems like Diablo 4 will have a shared open-world structure, which makes me think it’s going to be a pseudo-MMO.
So, Diablo 4 will be darker, grittier. Blizzard is taking the franchise back to its roots. But, what’s going on with the new “shared open world” structure that PC Gamer said they are introducing. Does it sound like they’re making a live service game? Kind of sounds like that to me at least. The new ARPG will have five regions that will have a fully implemented day-night cycle. Not only that, but we’re also getting a dynamic weather system. You get to explore whatever you want if you can take on the baddies there head-on. So, basically, if you have the abilities (and the gear) you can go and explore everything. That means we’re going to have low-level areas, mid-level areas, and high-level areas. Kind of like an MMO.
Now, Diablo 4 will have other players roaming the world. Just like you, they will go on their own adventures. Killing demons, endlessly farming for that one item that their build needs. Those kinds of things, standard for ARPGs. Towns will be a place where you take a breather, chitchat with other players, and meeting some people that can go with you to help you slay some big bad boss. Diablo 4 even has mounts, since the world is so big that you need something to help you explore it more quickly. And they’re probably going to sell exclusive mounts in-game. You can quote me on that when it inevitably happens.
Ok so now, let’s talk about Diablo 3. The game ain’t nothing special on its own, but it’s pretty fun when you get the expansion. You can buy both Diablo 3 and the Reaper of Souls expansion PC game key on HRK Game for an insanely low price right now!
