The latest teaser from Gearbox makes us pretty sure that we’re going to get an Borderlands 3 reveal at PAX East.
Oh boy, have you noticed that Borderlands 2 was released 7 years ago? Doesn’t really seem that long ago, now does it? That seems even more strange considering that since then, we got no mention of Borderlands 3. Absolutely nothing, complete radio silence that has been killing the fans these last few years. We want a new mainline Borderlands game that further expands this wacky universe that we’ve grown to love and adore.
Thankfully, Gearbox might have just given us a hint that everyone wanted in their latest tweet. Does this confirm that Borderlands 3 is on its way and is going to be revealed during PAX East? No, but since 5 years went by since
The Pre-Sequel got released, everyone is pretty sure that the next installment in the Borderlands franchise is on its way.
We could be wrong, there’s no actual proof that this is going to be the thing that everyone wants it to be, but let’s think about it for a moment. No news regarding the next title for 5 years. All of a sudden a tweet like that pops up that features that adored cell-shaded art style that the franchise is famous for. What else could this be other than Borderlands 3? Maybe a mobile title? It better not be a mobile title.
