Is Another Batman Game Being Made By WB Montreal?

For a long, long, time, superheroes and video games didn’t really work together. Yes, many superhero games were made, but very few of them were really good. And many of the ones that did were fighting games like Street Fighter Vs. X-Men, which led to Marvel Vs. Capcom. The real consistent breakthrough for the series though were the Batman Arkham games. They should what a superhero game could be in many ways. And now, WB Montreal, the team behind Batman: Arkham Origins, might be working on another Batman game.

This notion comes from a job listing that seeks someone who will help with a DC Comics title, check it out:

WB Games Montréal seeks a Senior Systemic Gameplay Programmer to work on its open-world AAA title based on one of DC Universe’s most popular IPs. This person will focus on the systemic ecosystem of the game, including gameplay, missions, and encounters.

WB Montreal Batman: Arkham Origins

Now, yes, this doesn’t specifically mean that they’re working on a Batman title, and rumors have been swirling that someone under the WB Games banner (which would include Rocksteady) is making an open-world Superman title. However, Rocksteady seems to be attached to that, so it could mean that WB Montreal is working on another Batman title.

Batman: Arkham Origins is the “unofficial official” entry into the Arkham saga. Many at Rocksteady don’t consider it part of their world, yet, it features many characters who were in the original two games, and brought in some more to shake things up. It also had a rather unique story that many fans resonated with. So if they are making another Batman game, fans likely won’t be disappointed with this idea.

The question now is, when will we find out for certain? E3 2018 is right around the corner, and that would be the best place to unveil it. But will they? We’ll find out.
