Three more fighters have been confirmed by NetherRealm Studios for Injustice 2 as part of the game’s Fighter Pack 2. The upcoming Fighter Pack will feature the heavily rumored Black Manta, Mortal Kombat’s Thunder God Raiden, and Hellboy, all of which will be released over the course of the coming months as downloadable content.
Both Black Manta and Raiden were both hinted at earlier this year, thanks to their rather obvious shadow outlines as NetherRealm Studios’ usual method of revealing characters. Hellboy however, has come as a total surprise for many, as a Dark Horse Comics character makes his way onto the extensive roster.
A release date for Black Manta, Raiden and Hellboy has yet to be confirmed, though NetherRealm will be hosting a live stream on Twitch to showcase Black Manta for all to see in a preview taking place on Sunday, August 27th. All three characters are also included as part of Injustice 2’s Ultimate Edition, which offers nine post-release DLC fighters and other cosmetics for players to customize their characters with.
Injustice 2, the sequel to the highly rated Injustice: Gods Among Us, is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC release window has yet to be confirmed.
