Injustice 2 Could Be Getting Killer Croc

When Injustice 2 was revealed, developer NetherRealm Studios made a promise that the roster would feature not only more depth in terms of characters, but that they would be diving even deeper into the world of DC Comics to pull out some characters that players may not expect. And they have lived up to that promise. Characters like Starfire, Jason Todd, Black Manta, The Atom (Ryan Choi), Enchantress, these characters have come to the spotlight of the game. But now, new leaked video footage seems to highlight another new member of the roster: Killer Croc.

Real name Waylon Jones, Killer Croc has been a part of the Rogue’s Gallery for Batman for many years, and has been depicted many different ways. As you’ll see in the video below, the character has his more humanoid form in Injustice 2, but also seems to be wearing, and using, an anchor hook of sorts for combat. Check out the footage of him below.

Interestingly enough, Croc was already a part of the game via a transition sequence in a stage. This was also the case for Black Manta, who came into the game via the second DLC pack. So, it just goes to show that no one is off limits.

Killer Croc has been depicted in various Batman media, but you could argue that his biggest claims to success are the Batman: Arkham games, and his appearances in the Suicide Squad comics and film. In fact, if his inclusion is for real, he’d be the fourth Suicide Squad member to be in Injustice 2, as he would be alongside Deadshot, Harley Quinn and the Enchantress.

Also found within the leak are some new gear that apparently wasn’t put into the game for one reason or another. Check out the full video to see how Croc plays, and what else may be coming to the game.
