Isn’t it kind of surprising that this is the first time that we’re seeing a Nexon game on Xbox One? It is to us, but nevertheless, Nexon’s Hyper Universe has been announced for Xbox One, and the title will arrive on that platform on August 7th. This game is surprisingly a MOBA, and we don’t see a lot of new ones these days, but at least it isn’t another battle royal title. It is a side-scrolling MOBA, and it looks like it has a lot of style, intense combat, and flashy abilities, which is pretty much everything you need for a game like this.
Hyper Universe doesn’t do anything different from your standard MOBA title, you have monsters to kill which give you gold, that can then be used to upgrade your items, you have minions and turrets, and so on. Pretty standard MOBA formula, but its style is rather interesting, and it is also a 2D side-scroller, and that alone could be enough to attract players. But, it isn’t a 5v5 game, but a 4v4, which is a strange design decision, but it won’t affect the gameplay much.
