Ubisoft has announced today the development schedule for For Honor, which will see a gradual rollout of content and fixes to be brought into the game from now going into next year. The main highlight of these plans will be the launch of two seasons, which are set to begin this year. Content releases will be accompanied by regular updates based on community feedback.
Another key feature will be dedicated servers being implemented into For Honor. This is something that Ubisoft Montreal are working on at the moment, which hopes to enhance peer-to-peer stability and matchmaking through the introduction of these servers. As mentioned, there will be two new seasons coming to the game also, taking place in August and November, which will change the way players fight on the battlefield. Content coming with these seasons includes new heroes, maps, gear variation, gameplay updates and more to be announced nearer the time. This will come available to season pass owners as early access for the heroes that are released during the season.
Other additions include new game features, which will bring competitive play with a duel tournament feature and ranked 4v4 matches, plus a new 4v4 PvP game mode to be added. A more robust training mode will also be on offer, whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you can brush up on your skills before heading into battle.
Since the game launched, For Honor has attempted to bring balance updates where possible, primarily aimed at game modes and heroes, some of which will improve the fight system in place to put more pressure on defence. Public test environments will host these changes starting on PC today.
