Hitman 3 released an absolutely stunning launch trailer that showcases how Agent 47 turns assassination into an art form.
Agent 47 is, without a doubt, a world-class assassin. One of the best killers you can hire. He can also kill you with a muffin. Or so I’ve heard. However, the Hitman 3 launch trailer didn’t just deliver on some stunning hitman executions. It delivered 2 minutes of exceptional promo material that makes the act of murder seem almost like an art form, together with some dazzling music and vocal performances. Makes me wish we had a good Hitman movie if anything.
The Hitman games by IO Interactive excel at giving the player an immensely complex sandbox to play in. There’s only one target, but a myriad of ways to kill that target. Poison them, set up a freak accident, snipe them from a distance, strangle them, beat them to death with a blunt object, blow them up with explosives, or just walk up to them and put a bullet through their skull with your iconic silenced pistol. This is the last game in the Hitman trilogy, so we won’t be seeing Agent 47 in quite some time I presume. Yet, IO Interactive sure did give us a lot to play with while we wait for another chance to play as the most capable assassin in the world.
