What’s a better way to increase your game’s longevity than to release an endless mode? Granted, not all games have the ability to take full advantage of a mode like this, but Hand of Fate 2 can. The developers have been releasing free updates for a while now, and the game looks like it’s not going to run out of content anytime soon, especially with the most recent addition of the Endless mode.
Hand of Fate 2 is an immensely interesting dungeon crawler where every encounter is actually a card drawn from a deck of wonders. It mixes RNG, dungeon crawling, a collectible card game element, and few other things together to get a game that you just can’t stop playing. Now that we are getting an Endless mode, it’s safe to say that once you start playing Hand of Fate 2, you won’t be stopping anytime soon. The mode itself isn’t quite as easy as you might imagine, as your equipment can break, and you may find death where you least expect it, but its all for the sake of glory, and of course, the right to claim the number one spot on the leaderboard. The real reason why most players are so obsessed with these Endless modes is exactly to earn the right to be called “number one”, and since the best players constantly need to keep playing in order to maintain their first place, the game gets a healthy dose of a competitive element.
If you’ve played the first game, then you should definitely check out the sequel, which improves on all the things that made the original so much fun.
