Halo News to Be Revealed This Weekend?

Fans of the Microsoft shooter sci-fi franchise might be in for a treat it seems this week, with news being teased regarding the franchise to take place over this weekend. This comes from Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor, who took to Twitter to state that its a “good week to be a Halo fan.” With RTX set to take place over this weekend in Austin, Texas, there could be some exciting reveals coming up for fans of the series.

This will likely come from the Halo panel that is set to take place at RTX on Saturday July 8th, which will begin at 11am. In attendance at the panel joining O’Connor will be multiplayer director Tom French, Microsoft Studios senior creative director Joseph Staten, as well as Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns. Whether or not this will be news on Halo 6, or something else related to the franchise remains to be seen.

The last entry in the franchise of course was Halo 5: Guardians, which released in October 2015. Whilst praised for its multiplayer aspect, it was criticized for its single-player campaign, predominantly on its lack of focus on mainstay protagonist Master Chief. The team behind the game has stated that the next entry will be more focused on Master Chief, and will see the return of split-screen multiplayer support, something that was also missed in the most recent entry.
