Halo Infinite updated its system requirements and for some reason, even the bare minimum requires quite a lot from your PC.
Halo Infinite looks pretty freaking awesome. It has the classic Halo esthetic mixed with some modern graphical fidelity. However, it’s not the kind of game that’s going to push boundaries with its jaw-droppingly impressive graphics. But the system requirements tell another story. The game’s Steam page got updated. Let’s take a look at just the minimum requirements:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64
- Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 50 GB available space
An i5-4440 and a GTX 1050 Ti. That’s some power, especially when you think that this game plans to run on last-gen consoles. Yet, let’s see the actual Halo Infinite system requirements. The recommended specs are:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 50 GB available space
Can you turn up all the graphical options to see an insanely pretty version of this title that we didn’t get to see yet, or is this just poor optimization? I’m not sure myself, but these system requirements are definitely too steep for an arena shooter that aims to run on Xbox One.
