The developers of H1Z1: King of the Kill have provided an update on the changes they will be making to the combat system.
The update is set to cover many areas of that aspect of the game, ones that will make a number of alterations to how the combat works. One of these changes will be the issue with crouch spamming, which will be resolved by implementing a similar system to CS:GO’s cooldown solution, with the light difference of only slowing the “up” action rather than up and down, meaning that players can still take cover even during the cooldown period.
This will be joined by the first version of the new recoil solution, which will have both a vertical and horizontal trend for each weapon. Both this and the crouch spamming changes will be on test next week, ready to go live at the end of the month.
Another spamming method is also being altered, which focuses on grenades. Many players are stacking up large amounts of throwables before quickly deploying them, which will be rectified by increasing the bulk of a single grenade so it takes up more room in the inventory, as well as a future update that will enforce a new throwing animation to slow players down.
In regards to cheating, the H1Z1 team are taking this particular issue seriously by intoducing further detection methods that have proven successful, with over 25,000 accounts being banned so far.
