Daybreak Games has teamed up with Twin Galaxies, who will be establishing the H1Z1 Pro League with their new Pro League Division for H1Z1: King of the Kill. The fast-paced action game will be creating the league to provide a sustainable esports ecosystem in partnership with teams for the benefit of players, viewers and partners of the League.
This will be focusing on a “player-first” approach, according to a recent press release, and will see a guaranteed player minimum salary, plus a team owner and player representation on the governance committee in the H1Z1 Pro League. There will also be a Player Bill of Rights and a revenue sharing model, and the first H1Z1 Pro League will get underway early next year.
Anthony Castoro, the general manager of H1Z1 at Daybreak Games, stated: “H1Z1 burst on to the esports scene with its first Battle Royale tournament over two years ago and has continued to serve the community with events like the H1Z1 Invitational, Elites Series at DreamHack and the primetime broadcast of Fight for The Crown on The CW Network. Our goal with the H1Z1 Pro League is to create a world-class experience worthy of our incredibly competitive community”
The partnership between Daybreak and Twin Galaxies will hopefully bring a unique and intriguing experience with H1Z1, as they look set to establish themselves on the eSports scene.
