Grimmwood Release Date Announced
Grimmwood is a game where you and up to 30 players spawn on a map that is procedurally generated and then you have to build a town together with the others. It’s a survival title where you have to rely on others for help, and it just got a release date announced.
A social survival game sounds very promising, and there is even a free open beta for you to try. The only problem that most players have with this game is how painstakingly slow it is. One day in-game is one day in our time, so as you can guess that can cause some problems, but the recent addition of the Blitz mode which makes one day last 15 minutes fixed that issue.
Grimmwood has a lot of interesting elements in it, and it looks like a mix of Don’t Starve and Darkest Dungeon. Also, add a high social element and then you get this weird conjecture that works. So is this title good enough to try? In our eyes, yes it is if this kind of thing is something you like. Players that don’t like to play with others won’t find much enjoyment in a game like this.
Building a city, defending it from monsters, gathering resources, crafting, and all those things will be much easier when you do them with other players, and if you’re wondering when Grimmwood is officially launching, it’s coming on August 2nd, 2018.
