First things first, if you haven’t played Grim Dawn, then I would highly recommend doing so, especially if you’re a fan of the Diablo series. Many seem to seek out alternative titles to Diablo III, in particular, and Grim Dawn, which leans towards elements of Diablo II in parts, is definitely one that you should check out, given that it was one of the best PC games to release last year.
With that in mind, Crate Entertainment are working on the game’s first expansion, which has been titled Ashes of Malmouth. This will take players through Malmouth, a city that was once the centerpiece of the thriving Cairn industry. The three districts that made up the city are the Candle District, which provided housing for the poor, the Steelcap District meanwhile presents the area in which the majority of the industry was found, and Crown Hill houses leadership and nobility.
Grim Dawn: Ashes of Malmouth will include the previously announced Necromancer class, which was detailed by the developers recently, outlining the playable class’ abilities and more. Expect to see bloated beasts, the spreading of fear and more when Ashes of Malmouth releases sometime this year, with an aimed window being for Q3 2017. An actual release date has yet to be confirmed.
