God Of War Gets Most DICE Award Nominations
Though it is now 2019, that doesn’t mean that the end of the “awards season” for video games has come, in fact, it’s still going strong, as some of the ceremonies wait for the end of the year to come before even thinking of making an announcement. This including the DICE Awards, who show off who won their awards in February. In a year packed with competition, there’s a lot of praise to go around for sure. But in the end, it was God of War who got the most nominations of the bunch.
God of War alone was nominated for 12 awards, including Game of the Year, but also, both Kratos and Arteus’ voice actor were nominated for their performances. The committee worked hard to get all the “right” nominees picked, and the team behind the show acknowledged that:
“I would like to thank the Academy’s peer panelists who dedicate their time, energy and expertise in evaluating and selecting the best games from 2018,” said Meggan Scavio, President of the Academy of Interactive Ars & Sciences. “To all the finalists – congratulations in continuing to push the boundaries of creativity, storytelling and technical innovation. I am looking forward to celebrating your achievements at the 22nd Annual D.I.C.E. Awards with our members and Board!”
