Lab Zero’s Mike “Mike Z” Zaimont has discovered an infinite combo with Ghost Rider in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, though it has now been patched out of the current build of the game.
The spawn of hell from the Marvel universe was able to grab his opponent with his whip grab technique, after which players would then be able to indefinitely repeat the process. The benefits of this, apart from the obvious, are that it could effectively fill up the meter and force time outs.
In Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, players are able to tag in whilst a character is being hit, though it costs two bars of the meter for the privilege, so in the instance that an infinite combo is being performed, you can see why it had to be patched out as quickly as possible. It would be entertaining to be able to pull the combo off, but on the flipside you can also see exactly why it had to be taken out of the game. You can’t imagine being on the receiving end being anything other than a source of massive frustration, not to mention the impact that it would have on the competitive side of things. It looks like Ghost Rider will have to come up with new methods of taking his opponent out.
