Blizzard has always been generous when it comes to Hearthstone. We always get free packs when a new expansion launches, and there are all kinds of events that can give us packs as well. This time, we are getting treated to a Golden Classic Pack, which contains only golden cards. Now, while this probably means nothing to a regular player that is just going to disenchant all of these for extra Dust, it is still a nice gesture from Blizzard, and they even made a really charming animated short about it which you should definitely watch.
To be fair, 90% of us are going to disenchant all of these golden cards for Dust, which is normal as you usually don’t have all the cards that you want for your decks, and golden cards give you a lot of Dust when you disenchant them. The animated short that Blizzard released in order to celebrate their New Pack Day is quite charming, and shows how different races open their packs in all sorts of different ways. For example, you have an Orc which naturally split his pack with an axe, while also destroying a table in the process.
The most hilarious part about this animated short is when they show a Blood Elf that is going over the cards that he got in the pack and disenchanting all of them as he already owns copies of them. That is the most realistic depiction of what a Hearthstone player does when he opens a new pack.
