This is certainly something that we didn’t expect. Geralt, the now well-known hero from The Witcher series, is being portrayed by Henry Cavill in the upcoming Netflix TV series.
The famous actor that is most known for portraying Superman in the Man of Steel is a big fan of Geralt. He didn’t really impress us too much in the Man of Steel movies, but they had a lot of issues. Most of which had nothing to do with the actor himself. That didn’t stop us from being surprised that he was casted for the role. Still, we aren’t really sure if Cavill gives us the “Geralt” vibe that is required to make this character work.
Nonetheless, it’s good to see that Cavill is so motivated and happy to portray Geralt, which means he’s going to put his all into this role. From what Lauren Hissrich said, Henry Cavill displayed immense passion, so she thought he was perfect for the role. The Witcher 3 attracted a lot of fans, and now the brand is well-known in the world. You won’t find many people that don’t recognize the name Geralt of Rivia. That’s exactly why the Netflix TV series can’t fail. Well, it can, but the fan backlash will be so immense that there will be no chance for another season or anything like that.
