Today marks the day in which a bunch of new goodies will arrive in Gears of War 4 as part of the October update. As well as this, there is also a patch to be made available which will upgrade the current version to run on the Xbox One X when it releases. The enhancements that will be made have not been revealed as of yet, but we do know what will be coming in terms of new content.
The two new maps that have arrived are Fuel Depot and Lift Apex. The former offers a large map which makes it a place rife with areas to flank your opponents, including a closed warehouse for close encounters. Meanwhile, Lift Apex is a reworked version of the original map, taking out the moving lift mechanics to make it a more tactical experience. You will probably recognize both of these maps from previous Gears of War games, just for that added piece of nostalgia.
These maps will be available to season pass holders from today, whilst they will go live to the public on October 30th for free. What’s more, if you are a season pass holder, you can earn double XP and additional credits from today on these two new maps.
Halloween is right around the corner too, so keep an eye out for what’s in store next for Gears of War 4.
