Galactic Civilizations III: Retribution is bringing two major new civilizations to the game, a new story-driven campaign, powerful alien artifacts, Hypergates that allow fast-travel across the universe, and more!
Stardock is bringing the last chapter to the game with the Retribution campaign. The Drengin Empire severely underestimated the willpower and cunning of the human race, and that may be a mistake that can cost them everything. The climactic battle could result in the complete annihilation of their race.
The humans of Sol III have been busy, as they developed stunning gateways that allow them to travel across hyperspace quickly, basically letting them fast-travel all over the map. The new civilizations are the Drath and Korath. The Drath like to manipulate everything and everyone, while the Korath like to exterminate anything that stands in their way. Both civilizations have their own bonuses, special abilities, and ship parts.
Galactic Civilizations III: Retribution is also throwing Artifacts into the mix. Find these potent items on certain planets and they will give you all kinds of new abilities. Other new additions include Cargo Ships and a new, completely overhauled Technology Tree that now has more depth and complexity.
