Epic Games has been on quite a roll recently with their title Fortnite. Their players base is continuing to grow, and their concurrent game numbers has been better than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which dominated them for a while. However, they still need to keep things updating and progressing in order to maintain their advantage. Thankfully, they’re doing just that, and they’re proving that as yesterday the newest patch for the game arrived, and it brought with it not only new fixes, but a new location, a new character, and new weapons.
First up, there’s a new “point of interest” for you to explore in Fortnite. It’s called Lucky Landing, and you can find it at the southern edge of the island. So when you get into the game, check it out, and see how you can use it to your advantage!
Second, there’s a new character that you can play as in Val. She’s a lady who wants to become a Defender, and she’s dressed very much like a government agent. Try her out to see what she can do!
What’s that? You want new weapons? Well, this patch has got you covered, as there are two new weapons ready to use. The first is the Hunting Rifle, which doesn’t have a scope, but is still very effective at mid-range and long range as long as you’re good with it. Careful though, it holds one round in the chamber.
Then, in the Save the World Mode you’ll find a Dragonfire Auto-Shotgun, which will unleash a vicious cone of flame that’ll engulf all that’s within its range. And to be honest, it just looks totally cool.
