If you haven’t somehow heard, Fortnite is dominating the Battle Royale market. It’s one of the top games on every system it’s on, and it’s raking in money left and right. Even its Youtube and Twitch streamers are raking in the money for simply playing the game and attracting an audience to watch them. And all of that was BEFORE it was revealed that Thanos would be brought into the game as part of a limited time crossover. Because of this insanity, players are wanting more.
Mainly, they feel that since Avengers could get literally represented in Fortnite, why not another major franchise? Why not another one that’s killing it at the box office currently. Say…Star Wars?
This all started with a Reddit forum talking about the possibility of it happening, and then it blew up and now many are really wanting a crossover between these two franchises. So…what would it look like if it happened?
Well, there’s a lot of possibilities. First off, they could go the Thanos route and have an item that turns someone into another character. For Star Wars, that could be finding the Vader helmet and turning into Darth Vader himself, complete with Force powers and his lightsaber.
Or, if you wanted to add some variety, you could have someone find a lightsaber and then choose which Jedi or Sith they get to be, each with their own skills and attributes that they can use while they’re alive.
And then, naturally, they could rework the map to look like a classic Star Wars location, like Tatooine, the Death Star, Jakku, or anything else they want.
The only question here is, will Disney allow it? It was the Infinity War directors that reached out to Epic Games to see if the crossover could happen. For the Star Wars dream to happen, some steps would need to be taken.
